DIPACULAO, Aurora-The police recently busted three notorious cattle rustlers involved in the incident of cattle lifting in this municipality that resulted to the recovery of two heads of cow in brgy. Lobbot, Dipaculao, Aurora.
Police Inspector Myra Novilla, Officer in Charge of Dipaculao Police Station (DPS) said that around 11:42 in the morning, a farmer Diosdado Abalos y De Vera, 40 years old, married and resident of Brgy. Puangi, Dipaculao, Aurora personally appeared to her office and reported that two (2) cow described as female, colored brown and male, colored white were missing while pastured in a coconut plantation at Barangay Puangi.
A follow-up operation was immediately conducted by police authorities wherein the large cattle were seen along the national highway of Brgy. Lobbot, Dipaculao, Aurora loaded on a tricycle (kolong-kolong) Yamaha RS 100T with plate number RR 8659 being accosted by Brgy. Councilor Danilo Quizote Sr. and Barangay Tanod Gregorio Ventura of said barangay around 6:20 in the evening.
“Our policemen caught it on the possession and control of the driver, Jessie Olpindo y Haduca, 45 years old, large cattle buyer and seller together with Romeo Olpindo y Haduca, 54 years old, both married and both residents of Brgy. San Joaquin, Maria Aurora, Aurora wherein the two cattle were sold by Jay-R Sacramento y Simangan of Brgy. North Poblacion in this municipality,” Novilla said.
Said stolen large cattles were positively identified by Diosdado and necessary charges are now being prepared against the suspects to be submitted to the Aurora Provincial Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceedings. (Jason de Asis)
